If one or more of your characters' level looks off after an update, please note this is normal when a new world is added in-game, and it does not affect your gameplay. This is explained in the Patch Notes, and it may look like this (the below example is from the release of World 17, but the same principle applies whenever the maximum level cap is increased):

14. Maximum Level Increase

Hero maximum level increase

- When World 16 'Reunion' is cleared, the hero's maximum level is extended to 90.

ㄴ For heroes level 88 or higher, the level or exp gauge will increase immediately after the update.

Equipment maximum level increase

- The maximum level of the equipment is extended to 90.

ㄴ For equipment level 88 or higher, the level or exp gauge will increase immediately after the update.

Amount of Exp required for hero level-up adjusted

- The amount of EXP required is reduced when leveling up from level 1 to level 75.

※ Heroes in possession before clearing World 16 'Reunion' may be marked as exceeding the level limit, but this will not affect gameplay.
